Fibroids: Removal support Group.

This group is for women who want support around medical interventions to treat fibroids .

Please keep posts directly related to the topic of surgical/medical removal and/or treatment of fibroids. This of course can include trying to make decisions about medical removal options, preparing for procedures, recovering from procedures, offering support to each other about the medical treatment process, sharing research and knowledge about medical/surgical fibroid treatment, and discussing outcomes of medical fibroid treatment. Posts may be modified if they do not relate to the focus of this group.

There will be no deleting of members of this group unless they are spamming or trolling.

Fibroids, or myomas, are growths or benign tumours that form inside the uterus (womb). Fibroids are not cancer. Most women with fibroids do not have symptoms. However, symptoms can include heavy and painful periods, anaemia, infertility and miscarriage in pregnancy. Treatment options include medications and surgery, including arterial embolisation.
